PYT is run by a small group of dedicated volunteers. In addition, all of our projects and production are run by experienced theatre professionals. Below are some of the brilliant people who have worked with us recently.
Nell Martin – Workshop Leader for CATS, summer 2021
Nell graduated from Arts Educational Schools London with a first class BA(hons) in Musical Theatre in 2015. Theatre credits include: SMOOSH (Paraorchestra), Dance Captain and Swing in Priscilla Queen of the Desert (UK tour); Swing and Cassandra in Cats (UK and International Tour); Pauline in West Side Story (Salzburg International Theatre Festival); Flora in Neptunalia (CScape Dance Company). As well as performing Nell works as an assistant/resident choreographer and dance teacher.
Ben Stacey – Workshop Leader for CATS, summer 2021
Ben trained at Arts Educational Schools, London. Theatre credits include: Jimmy Smith in Throughly Modern Millie (Landor Theatre); Huff in Nutcracker! The Musical (The Pleasance Theatre); Doody in Grease (European Tour); Ulysses in Orpheus The Mythical (The Other Palace); A Little Princess (Royal Festival Hall); MC in On The Town (The Royal Albert Hall); Peter Pan in Peter Pan at the Swansea Grand and Mungojerrie in Cats (Royal Carribean Cruises). Other credits include: Follies in Concert (The Albert Hall); The Olivier Awards 2014 and 2015 (Royal Opera House) and BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night Is Music Night.
Nik Ashton – Artistic Director has directed many of PYT’s productions
Nik trained at Laine Theatre Arts, Arts Educational and with the National Youth Theatre. He has directed productions for Welsh National Opera, Opera North and Opera Holland Park, as well as pieces for the NYMT and Chichester Festival Youth Theatre. Nik is currently the Worldwide Associate Director on the RSC’s production of Matilda the Musical working on the production in London, New York, Australia, Toronto and South Korea. As Staff/Resident Director he has worked on La Boheme, Madame Butterfly and Carmen (WNO), Oklahoma! (NYMT), A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Just So (Chichester Festival Theatre).
